Hardpost is operated by Scalible LLC. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use Hardpost, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how you can control it. The short version: we collect what we need to edit your videos and run your account, we do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising trackers.

Who we are

Scalible LLC runs Hardpost and is responsible for your personal data under this policy. You can reach us at support@hardpost.com.

This policy applies to our website, the Hardpost web app and the Hardpost phone app. It takes effect on October 7, 2026. It is written for users in the United States first. If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the section on visitors in the EU, EEA and UK also applies to you.

What we collect

Account details

Your email address, your name, an optional profile picture, and a hash of your password. We never store your password itself. If you use Google sign in, we also receive your Google account id along with your name and email.

Settings you save

Your caption styles, your dictionary of misheard words, AI style notes, your accent color and similar preferences, so Hardpost edits the way you like.

Your videos and what we make from them

The videos you upload, and what Hardpost creates from them: transcripts, edit lists, previews, exports and thumbnails. Your videos may include your face, your voice and anything you say, so we treat them with care.

Sounds you upload

Music and sound files you add to Your sounds, or the sound we take from a video you add there, and the waveform we draw from each one, so you can use them in any of your videos. Only your account can play or use them.

Billing details

Payments are handled by Stripe. We see your plan, your subscription status and, at most, the brand and last four digits of your card. We never see or store full card numbers.

Messages you send us

Support emails, feedback and anything else you choose to send us.

Technical data

Your IP address, which we use for rate limiting and security, your browser type, and error reports when something goes wrong.

What we do not collect

We do not use advertising trackers. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share personal data for cross context behavioral advertising.

How we use your data

We use your data to:

Emails we send

We send account emails that you need to use Hardpost: links to confirm your email address or reset your password, a reminder 2 days before your free trial ends, a reminder 15 days before a yearly plan renews, notice of price changes, and notice of material changes to our terms or this policy. These emails are part of running your account, so you cannot turn them off while your account is open.

What we never do

How we use edits to improve Hardpost

To make Hardpost edit better, we learn from how edits turn out: which cuts you keep or undo, timing, and transcripts with names, emails, phone numbers and addresses removed. Two switches in Settings, Privacy decide how that learning is used. Both are on by default, and you can turn either one off anytime.

Learn my style

Hardpost learns from the cuts you fix, like words you always keep or always cut, and edits your next videos the same way. What it learns is saved with your account and only changes your own edits. It is never used to edit anyone else's videos. When you turn it off, Hardpost stops learning from your fixes. To clear something it already learned, forget it under Your editing style in the editor.

You can also teach Hardpost from videos you already posted: you upload a raw take and the version you posted, and Hardpost compares the two. Both files are deleted as soon as that pair has been learned from, if anything goes wrong, if you stop it, or after an hour if you never start it. They are not videos in your library and never count toward your plan. Only what was learned, like how much room you leave at each cut, stays with your style, and Reset on Your style clears it.

Help improve Hardpost for everyone

This keeps improvement data that helps us make Hardpost cut better for every creator: which cuts were kept or undone, timing, and transcripts with names, emails, phone numbers and addresses removed. That removal is automatic and best effort. When you turn it off, we stop keeping this data for your account: we still count that an AI step ran, for cost and error tracking, but without any of its text, and a rating you give is no longer linked to its video. Your edits work the same either way.

Whatever the switches say, we never keep your raw footage more than 3 days after you last work on it, we never use your face or voice to make content or train a model that imitates you, we never keep your payment details (Stripe holds them), and we never sell your data.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Hardpost. They process data only on our instructions and only to provide their service to us. We do not sell your data to anyone.

We ask Deepgram not to keep your audio for model improvement. Anthropic does not train its models on data sent through its commercial API.

We may also share data if the law requires it, such as a valid court order, to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public, or as part of a merger, sale or reorganization of our business. If Hardpost changes hands, this policy keeps applying to your data until you are told otherwise.

Where your data is stored

Your videos are processed and stored on our servers in the United States, hosted by OVHcloud US. Some of our service providers may process data in other countries under their own safeguards.

How long we keep your data

Deleting your account

You can delete your account in Settings, under Security, with Delete account. This ends any paid subscription first, then deletes your account, videos, exports, Your sounds, styles, dictionary and sessions. Copies in backups age out within 30 days. Billing records we must keep for tax reasons stay for the required time.

Your choices and rights

You are in control of your data. You can:

We answer requests within 30 days, or within 45 days where state law allows and we need the extra time. We may need to confirm your identity first, usually by asking you to write from the email address on your account.

Your rights under US state privacy laws

If you live in California or another state with a consumer privacy law, you have rights over your personal data. Depending on where you live, these include the right to:

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising, so there is nothing you need to opt out of. The categories of data we collect and the reasons we collect them are listed above in What we collect and How we use your data, and the outside companies we disclose data to are listed in Who we share data with.

We will never treat you differently, charge you more or give you a worse service for using your privacy rights.

To use your rights, email support@hardpost.com. You can also have an authorized agent make a request for you. We will ask the agent for proof that you gave them permission, and we may ask you to confirm your identity directly with us. If we turn down your request, you can reply to ask us to reconsider.

Visitors in the EU, EEA and UK

If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR and the UK GDPR give you extra protections. This section explains how they apply.

Controller

Scalible LLC is the controller of your personal data. You can contact us at support@hardpost.com.

Legal bases

Your rights

You have the right to:

To use any of these rights, email support@hardpost.com. We answer within one month, as the law requires.

International transfers

We store and process data in the United States. When we transfer personal data from the EU, EEA or UK to the United States, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or our providers' equivalent safeguards.

How we protect your data

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that data will never be exposed. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you as the law requires.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies: one keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, and two short ones last 10 minutes while you sign in with Google. Small preferences, like your last caption style, are kept in your browser's local storage on your device. We do not use advertising or cross site tracking cookies. Our Cookie Policy has the full list.

Children

Hardpost is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account, we delete it. If you believe a child under 13 is using Hardpost, please email support@hardpost.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Hardpost changes. When we do, we post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is material, we email account holders before it applies. Our Cookie Policy explains the cookies we use, and will be updated along with this policy if that ever changes.
